Back-to-back RBI singles in the bottom of the fifth inning from Kim Hyun-soo and Austin, a hard-hitting foreign LG hitter, cut the deficit to one run, but Choi provided a valuable RBI in the seventh.

With one out, Choi Ji-hoon drew a walk, and Choi lined an outside pitch from LG left-handed reliever Ham Deok-ju into the left field seats for a two-run double. It was an invaluable hit that turned a one-run deficit into a 6-4 lead.

Kim Kwang-hyun pitched six innings, allowing four runs on seven hits with two walks and two strikeouts. He struggled a bit, but got some run support from his offense and picked up his sixth win of the season (2-2).

Choi Jeong-jeong, batting third, went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs, one walk and one run scored, while Ha Jae-hoon, left fielder and sixth baseman, went 2-for-3 with a home run, one walk, two stolen bases and two runs scored to spark the offense.

Choi Joo-hwan hit a two-run home run, Kim Sung-hyun had two hits and one RBI, and Kim Min-sik had one hit and one RBI. After Kim, Go Hyo-joon, Moon Seung-won, and Seo Jin-yong secured the win. Seo Jin-yong, who leads the league in saves, picked up his 26th save.
