Carvajal was substituted at halftime in the league match against Granada on March 3 due to the injury.
The club hasn’t given a timetable for Carvajal’s return, but according to Mundo Deportivo, all things considered, he’ll be out for three to four weeks. If that’s the case, he won’t play again until next year, with the goal being to play in the Spanish Super Cup in the second week of January.
In addition to Carvajal, Real Madrid also has Courtois, Militant, Chouameni, Kamabinga, Vinicius, and Arda Güler injured. Kepa has already recovered and Modric is expected to be available for next weekend’s match against Betis.
Without Carvajal, Lucas Vazquez will take over at right back for Real Madrid for the next few games. Ancelotti will have to spend 2023 without Carvajal, his most in-form player who plays a key role in both the offense and defense.
