Coach Paulo Bento, who led Brazil to the round of 16 at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, has expressed how much he misses Korea.

On the 26th, travel YouTuber Kwak Ji-hyuk uploaded a video titled ‘Back to Qatar…Only thinking about Korea’ on his channel.

In the video, Kwak expressed his nostalgia for Coach Ventura and Sergio Costa, the head coach of Ventura’s division, and traveled to Lisbon, Portugal, to meet them.

When he arrived in Lisbon, Kwak said, “Coach Ventura hasn’t gone to his new team yet, and he’s not on Instagram, so I don’t know where to find him. I’m looking for him at Incheon Airport with a longing for his reddened eyes,” he said.

He found Sergio’s Instagram account in his hostel and asked him to follow him, which he did, and was soon able to send him a message.

With the help of a translator, Kwak sent the coach a DM (direct message) expressing his eagerness to meet, and he got the reply he was looking for.

The meeting between Kwak and Sergiu was organized, and Sergiu was happy to see Kwak visit him.

“We miss Korea, too. It was the best time of my life in Korea, starting in 2018,” Sergio said, and recalled the joy of the Korea-Portugal victory at the World Cup in Qatar.

“You know it’s not easy to play against our country (Portugal), but we really wanted to win that game and we tried to bring joy to the Korean people. I think it’s good because they deserve it,” he said.

Later, as the team arrived at the café to chat, Coach Sergio made a video call to Coach Ventura. “Good to see you. Daniel, how are you?” and apologized, saying, “I was going to go out with Sergio today, but something important came up.” He added, “We miss Korea.

“We really, really miss Korea, too,” he said, “the people, the food, everything. Thank you so much for not forgetting us and coming to visit us like this, Jihyeok,” he said.

Coach Sergio continued, “I want to go back to Korea someday, I don’t know when, but I will definitely go. I can’t forget Korean chicken. My kids always say they want to go back to Korea too,” he said, showing his love for the country.

Finally, Sergiu expressed his concern for Son Jun-ho, who was arrested and is being held by Chinese police on suspicion of match-fixing and bribery.

“I’ve been thinking about him a lot lately, and I know he’s going through a tough time right now,” he said. “I even contacted a friend of mine in Korea to see if there was anything I could do to help. 스포츠토토 I don’t think he did anything wrong. He’s a really good friend.”
