Tottenham return to London to continue preseason schedule EPL kicks off Aug. 13
Tottenham Hotspur’s Asian tour of the English Premier League (EPL) has concluded, and Son Heung-min has vowed to make an impact in the 2023-2024 season.
Tottenham won their pre-season tour friendly against Ryan City (Singapore) 5-1 at the Singapore National Stadium on Saturday.
Son started the game and was replaced by Ivan Perisic at the start of the second half. He did not register an offensive point.
It was Son’s first appearance of the preseason.
After missing the friendly against West Ham United (England) in Perth, Australia, on Sept. 18 (2-3 loss), Heung-min was scheduled to start the second match against Leicester City (England) of the Championship (Division 2) in Bangkok, Thailand, on Sept. 23, but the match was canceled due to heavy rain.
“Thank you so much for your support and love during the preseason in Australia, Singapore, and Thailand,” Son said on his social media accounts after the game, “I’m looking forward to returning to London and preparing well for the rest of the season so we can have a great season.”
The match against Lion City concludes Tottenham’s Asia tour, which has taken them to Australia, Thailand and Singapore.
Upon returning to London, Tottenham will host Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukraine) in a friendly at home at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on August 6 before continuing their preseason campaign against FC Barcelona (Spain) on August 9.
Spurs, led by Ange Postecoglou, will open the 2023-2024 EPL season on 고스톱 Aug. 13 against Brentford.
