They say even the mountains and rivers change in 10 years, and ‘I Live Alone’ has firmly maintained MBC’s Friday nights for that long.

The sincerity of the cast and production team was the biggest factor in this program being loved for so long that several of the cast were mentioned as entertainment award candidates this year. 지울프-토토

On the afternoon of the 4th, a press conference commemorating the 10th anniversary of MBC’s entertainment program ‘I Live Alone’ was held at the Golden Mouse Hall in the MBC building in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.

In attendance on this day were PD Heo Hang, broadcasters Jeon Hyun-moo and Park Na-rae, webtoon writer and broadcaster Kian84

actor Lee Jang-woo, group SHINee’s Key, singer Code Kunst and announcer Kim Dae-ho.

‘I Live Alone’ is an observation program that shows the single life of a one-person household.

It started as a Lunar New Year special pilot on February 10, 2013, and was aired as a regular program on March 22 of that year. ‘I Live Alone’

which is still recording a viewership rating of 6-9%, is the highest-selling program in MBC’s advertising sales.

At the ‘MBC Broadcasting Entertainment Awards’, it won the Entertainment Program of the Year award four times, and also created the grand prize winners Jeon Hyun-moo (twice) and Park Na-rae (once).

Producer Heo Hang, who leads the program, said, “There are many seasonal programs these days

but ‘I Live Alone’ has been running for 10 years without a single week’s rest. 10 years have passed since it ran like a marathon rather than a sprint.

There were many ups and downs, but we worked together for 10 years.

“The biggest reason it exists is because of the viewers,” he said, expressing his thoughts on the 10th anniversary.

The driving force behind which ‘I Live Alone’ has been able to run for 10 years is sincerity.

Producer Heo Hang said, “We live in an era where honesty is important. We are trying to show the daily life of the contestants without lies.

I think that is what has made the program able to continue.”

Rainbow members were also proud of the program’s 10th anniversary.

Jeon Hyun-moo, who has been with the program since its inception, joked, “The fact that I’m still appearing on this program means I’ve been alone for 10 years.”

He continued, “In the beginning, living alone was a depressing and sad feeling. At that time, there was a feeling that people who lived alone were looked upon sadly.

Nowadays, many people live alone and enjoy the life of a single-person household in various ways.

After 10 years, the public has come to understand me.

The way people look at things has changed.

I feel that society has changed,” he said, expressing his sense of change in times.

Park Na-rae, who joined in 2016 and is active as a pillar of ‘I Live Alone’ with Jeon Hyun-moo, said, “It was awkward at first

but as time goes by, it feels like family. I feel like I’ve grown along with the program.

Kian84, who became a regular member in 2017, said, “I didn’t know I would be around this long. I wonder if I can receive so much love in my life, and I feel very grateful.”

Key Lee Jang-woo, Kim Dae-ho, and Code Kunst, who joined relatively recently, were equally proud.

Key said, “I am grateful that they love my daily life. This is my first time seeing someone who lives like Hyunmoo or Kian.

I learn a lot by acknowledging our differences.

Kim Dae-ho said, “Jeon Hyun-moo is a fellow colleague and senior announcer, so he provides me with a lot of support.”

Lee Jang-woo, who is in a public relationship with actress Jo Hye-won, said that he is considering marriage because of ‘I Live Alone’.

He confessed, “At first, I thought I would film it once or twice.

There is someone I want to get married to, and I want to, but I can’t get married because of my partnership with ‘I Live Alone.'”

‘I Live Alone’ has gone through several heydays and revivals over the past 10 years.

Jeon Hyun-moo said, “As we showed only ‘real’ things for 10 years, there was a time when the viewership ratings did not come in.

I think it was 3-4 years ago. I thought, ‘People don’t watch boring stuff.’ The identity and essence were maintained.

The production team must have been very worried when they felt that they wanted to do it but people weren’t watching.

Still, we kept trying to show the real thing, and I think that worked well,” he said.

This year, ‘I Live Alone’ is said to have experienced a resurgence thanks to the performances of Palm Yuz and Kian84.

For this reason, it is predicted that either Jeon Hyun-moo or Kian84 will receive the grand prize at this year’s ‘MBC Broadcast Entertainment Awards’.

In relation to this, the two people also carefully expressed their position. Kian84 expressed his anticipation, saying

It’s scary to receive the grand prize, but I think I’ll be the same even if I win the award.

Jeon Hyun-moo said, “If I were to compare the current situation to baseball

I was ahead until the 5th inning. But when that guy (Kian 84) drank water from the Indian river, the score came up to the level of a tie.

Then, that guy ran a marathon and fell behind by 7 to 4. “Yes, I am in the bottom of the 9th inning with two outs.

If I hit a home run with the bases loaded, I win 8 to 7, and if I hit three outs, I lose a huge loss

he said, asking people to look forward to future episodes of PalmUse Taiwan.

Regarding the rivalry between the two, PD Heo Hang said, “Kian84 played a big part in not only ‘I Live Alone’ this year but also ‘Around the World While I Was Born’ (Around the World).

However, we don’t know what the outcome will be. As producers, the two “I support everyone,” he said.

The members also predicted the target protagonist and expressed their opinions. Park Na-rae said

As a member of PalmUs, I want Jeon Hyun-moo to receive it, but I also want Kian84 to receive it this year. Every time my brother talks about the grand prize, my eyes get moist.

When I look into his eyes, I think, ‘That grand prize is not yours.’ “I can’t speak,” he said.

On the other hand, Code Kunst made people laugh by saying, “It is arrogant to think that one of the two will receive the award.

Always be on your toes, both of you.”

In PD Heo Hang’s opinion, the best star produced by ‘I Live Alone’ is Jeon Hyun-moo.

Producer Heo Hang praised, “It depends on what you think of the meaning of star, but I felt the best chemistry ever in the Taiwanese palm oil episode.

Jeon Hyun-moo was always at the center of the ‘chemistry’ with the various cast members.”

When asked which guest he would like to have in the future, Jeon Hyun-moo chose Lim Young-woong. Jeon Hyun-moo said

There are so many people around me who want to see Lim Young-woong. I wonder how he wakes up, what he eats, and what he does.

I am cautious about whether he will feel pressured, but at any time, if you are not planning on getting married right away

please open your mind and think about it.”

Producer Heo Hang said he did not want to be limited by occupation or nationality.

He raised expectations by saying, “I want to highlight not only celebrities

but also single-person households from various occupations such as scholars, musicians, and designers who are active globally.”
