Son Heung-min (Tottenham) meets promoted team Leicester City in the opening game of next season’s English Professional Football Premier League (EPL).
The EPL announced the 2024-2025 season schedule through official channels such as its website on the 18th.
The new season EPL will begin with a match between Manchester United (Manchester United) and Fulham held at Old Trafford in Manchester, England, on August 17th at 4 a.m. (Korean time).
Tottenham begins the season with an away match against Leicester City on August 20th at 4am.
Tottenham, captained by Son Heung-min, is ahead of the new season, having ranked 5th in the EPL in the 2023-2024 season and qualifying for the UEFA Europa League.
The first opponent in the league, Leicester City, was the EPL winner in the 2015-2016 season. After finishing in 18th place in the EPL in the 2022-2023 season and being relegated to the second division Championship, they returned to the EPL after one season by winning the championship last season.
Son Heung-min exploded with a hat trick in the 8th round match against Leicester in the 2022-2023 season held in September 2022.
After the first round against Leicester, Tottenham will face Everton, Newcastle, Arsenal, Brentford, and Manchester United in turn.
Wolverhampton, where ‘Bull’ Hwang Hee-chan plays, will clash with Arsenal, the team that ranked second in the league last season, in the first round on August 17th at 11 PM. Wolverhampton travels to the Emirates Stadium in London.
The match between Tottenham and Wolverhampton is scheduled for Tottenham’s home game on December 30th and Wolverhampton’s home game on April 12th next year.
Brentford, who recently promoted 2004-born center back Kim Ji-su to the first-team squad, will play a first-round home game against Crystal Palace on August 18.
In addition, defending champion Manchester City will play its first league match against Chelsea on August 19th, and Liverpool, under manager Arne Slott after Jurgen Klopp left, will play the first round against promoted team Ipswich Town on August 17th. 섯다
