KH LIONS, a team of Kyung Hee University students, has been crowned champions of the 2023 Let’s Play Women’s College Football Club League, organized by the Korea Football Association.KH LIONS defeated FC GPS, a university-affiliated team, 2-1 in the final of the second edition of the Women’s College Football Club League at the Paju National Football Center (NFC) in Gyeonggi-do, Gyeonggi-do, on Sept. 29.Last year’s champions, Jeju National University’s ‘Properly’, defeated last year’s runners-up, Ewha Womans University’s ‘ESSA’, 1-0, in the third place match.The tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) honor went to KH LIONS’ Han Hye-seo. The 14-team pool league began in April, with the top four teams advancing to the tournament.

After finishing first in the regular season with 12 wins and one draw, KH LIONS went on to win both the semifinals and the final to claim an undefeated title.As the winner, KH LIONS took home $2 million in prize money. The second, third, and fourth place teams also received 1 million, 500,000, and 300,000 won, respectively.The tournament was founded last year by the Korea Football Association to increase women’s participation in soccer 스포츠토토존. It was expanded from a short-term tournament to a year-round league.
