Hope to maintain 10 professional basketball teams… Intention to create SONO International
Sono International, the holding company of Daemyung Sono Group, has announced its intention to acquire all 18 players of Goyang Day One Sports, which was recently expelled from the KBL.
The KBL has selected Sono International as a candidate for a new 10-team league and will proceed with full-scale discussions.
Sono will officially submit the necessary documents to the KBL next week, and after verification, the KBL will hold a board meeting and general meeting on the 21st to make a final decision on whether to approve the application.
If approved, Sono’s membership is expected to continue the 10-team system of men’s professional basketball that has been in place since its inception.
