Our worst fears have come true. Bayern Munich have lost their number one and two center backs.
While key center back Kim Min-jae is away with the South Korean national team at the 2023 Qatar Asian Cup, his center back partner, France international Dayot Upamecano, suffered an injury during the match.
Upamecano, who started alongside Matthijs de Ligt in the 18th round home match of the 2023-2024 German Bundesliga season against Union Berlin at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, on Sept. 25, suffered a hamstring injury to his left leg midway through the first half after chasing down an opposing striker.
Munich coach Thomas Tuchel was forced to remove Upamecano at halftime and bring on Eric Dier. Dier, who joined the club from Tottenham this month, 안전놀이터 was given a “forced debut” due to Upamecano’s injury.
Dier came on at the start of the second half and played 45 minutes in goal, helping Munich to a clean sheet and a 1-0 win. A successful debut. In 45 minutes, he made two clearances, one interception, completed 91% of his passes, and won 100% of his ground battles.
After a scoreless first half, Munich took the lead in the first minute of the second half on a goal by Guerreiro.
Getting involved in the attack, Gerrilho opened the scoring with a calm left-footed finish after Harry Kane’s shot hit the post.
Guerreiro, who played for Dortmund for the past seven years, scored his first goal in front of his home fans after moving to Munich last summer. Munich bounced back from a shock 0-1 defeat at Werder Bremen on Sept. 21 to take their tally to 44 points, closing the gap to unbeaten leaders Leverkusen (48) to four points.
Munich started with Kane as their attacking spearhead, with Leroy Sane, Jamal Moussaouiallah and Kingsley Coman forming a second line. Jozua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka held down the middle, while Konrad Reimer, De Ligt, Upamecano, and Guerreiro formed the back four. Manuel Neuer was in goal.
Munich dominated the game, 파워볼실시간 holding 72% of possession and outshooting their opponents 22-4. However, the Bavarians were plagued by scoring misfortune, as a Kane goal was disallowed by the video assistant referee (VAR).
Munich will travel to Augsburg on Sept. 27 after a short break. If Upamecano’s injury absence is prolonged, the combination of De Ligt and Dier will have to cover the back until Kim Min-Jae returns.
